Mediating Disputes on the Frontline
This specialized programme equips frontline officers and community-facing professionals with direct conflict resolution capabilities essential for de-escalating tensions, mediating incidents, and addressing misunderstandings at the point of first contact, before situations deteriorate into formal disputes or threaten community harmony.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Learn the basic concepts of mediation, its different stages and the basic understanding of the different spectrum of conflict resolution at the frontline;
- Develop direct conflict resolution skills enabling frontline enforcement officers to effectively deescalate/ mediate related incidents/issues which would help to address misunderstanding and disharmony within the community; and
- Apply practical skills to manage common frontline issues within the community.
