The Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) movement has been slowly gaining momentum over the past two decades in various parts of the world, and one of the few silver linings in 2020 seems to be an opportunity to explore this growing space.

While some businesses have been gradually introducing virtual meetings into their culture, many businesses are now having to rapidly introduce them at scale. Virtual meetings do not have to be intimidating, if they are run efficiently and are productive. 

Mediation advocacy is the technique of presenting and arguing a client’s position, needs and interests in a non-adversarial way. 

It is with a heavy heart that we pen this month’s column as we pay tribute to our former Chief Justice Yong Pung How, who passed on earlier this month.

As 2019 winds down and 2020 beckons, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the year that has passed and make plans for the new year.
