Managing Conflicts at the Workplace – 7 to 8 May 2025

Conflicts and misunderstandings are inherent in any workplace environment; left unaddressed, issues can detrimentally impact morale, productivity, and staff retention. This comprehensive course is specifically tailored to provide learners with the essential skills and knowledge required to adeptly navigate workplace conflicts. Through this course, learners will learn to pinpoint the root causes of conflicts, defuse tense situations, and devise mutually beneficial resolutions.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Perform roles and responsibilities to minimise sources of conflicts in teams.
  • Practice collaborative conflict resolution to resolve conflicts.
  • Employ diverse conflict management techniques.
  • Engage assistance within and outside the organisation to help resolve conflict situations.
  • Document the details of the conflict in accordance with regulatory requirements and organisational procedures.

Day 2: 8 May 2025

9.00 am to 6.00 pm: Classroom training (in-person)

WSQ Online Feedback Session^: 15 May 2025

As an Approved Training Organisation (ATO), this training programme is accredited under the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications’ Skills Development Fund (SDF) and is subsidised by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

To receive the training grants/subsidies, participants must complete the following:

  1. WSQ Written Assessment & Reflection: Conducted at the end of Day 2 class. (6-8pm)
  2. WSQ Oral Feedback Session: Scheduled for the week following the written assessment. (20-min timeslot)

Baseline SkillsFuture Funding (BSF):
Singaporeans and Permanent Residents (SPR) aged 21 years and above are eligible.

Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES):
Singaporeans aged 40 and above are eligible.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS):
SME-sponsored – Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) are eligible.

SkillsFuture Credit Scheme

SkillsFuture Credit Usage (For Self-Sponsored Individuals)

All Singaporeans who are 25 years and above may also use their available SkillsFuture credit to offset their course fee.

SMC courses do not fall under the SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career) tier, as SMC does not offer any courses that fall under the following categories. Therefore, you will not be able to utilise your SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career) for any of our SMC courses.

  • Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) full qualifications and shorter modules that stack to a full qualification,

  • SkillsFuture Career Transition Programmes (SCTP), which are train-and-place programmes in sectors with good hiring opportunities,
  • Courses aligned to training requirements in Progressive Wage Model (PWM) sectors, and
  • Workplace Literacy and Numeracy courses.
