Conflicts and misunderstandings are inherent in any workplace environment; left unaddressed, issues can detrimentally impact morale, productivity, and staff retention. This comprehensive course is specifically tailored to provide learners with the essential skills and knowledge required to adeptly navigate workplace conflicts. Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES):

SCMP Module 1 is an intensive two-day training programme that covers the foundations of interest-based mediation which focuses on the disputing parties’ interests and encourages a broader range of solutions.

You will learn about the nature of conflicts and the most effective techniques to manage them. These fundamental dispute resolution strategies can be applied in diverse situations to manage work relationships within an organisation or with external parties, or to build stronger and more effective teams.

This is a highly interactive training programme with role plays and exercises. Anyone who is interested in acquiring mediation skills, including lawyers as well as C-suite executives, professionals, managers, and other executives who want to advance their professional skills, should attend this training.

Principles of Natural Justice–A Refresher for Adjudicators

Synopsis

Under Section 16(5)(c) of the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2004, adjudicators are required to uphold the principles of natural justice. The Code of Conduct for Adjudicators reinforces this duty, and any breach may constitute misconduct under the Disciplinary Rules, potentially leading to an invalid adjudication determination.

A failure to uphold natural justice not only impacts individual cases but also undermines public confidence in the adjudication system.
